Toufee just managed to reach another milestone, this time with the Google search results though. Toufee crossed the 100,000 mark last week and its purely an organic growth that is constantly fueling our rise in the market for online flash movie maker.

While some of might be wondering what is this all about, one thing we can tell you that is an important step towards our goal to make people realize the full potential of rich internet applications. As we keep telling, Toufee v2.0 will be a great example of what we mean by rich internet application. Still yet, people do keep emailing us asking for a standalone version of Toufee (so that they could work on their favourite flash movie maker offline!).

Our Toufee servers were bit off-color last week and we did receive emails from lots of Toufee users. The fact of the matter is that we are upgrading our existing infrastructure and some goof-up in one of the servers might have rendered the service temporarily unavailable during the past week. Finally, we’ve got it sorted out and the Toufee service is working better now than it ever had!

If you still face any issues working with Toufee please email me at ganesh@toufee.com and I will definitely make sure your problem is fixed.

Btw, we’ve been getting really useful (excellent suggestions actually!) from Toufee users. I have mentioned a couple of them here

1. Option to create duplicates of Toufee flash movies (similar to a
Save As feature).

2. Option to add hyperlink to the entire flash movie (so that clicking
on any frame takes you to the URL)

A phrase that you here sometimes at the Toufee’s development desk. Call it what you may, things like these are part and parcel of programming, as sometimes, you might forget simplest of features in the heat of the moment. The simplest of the things always slips even the sharpest eyes - quite honestly, they are very hard to detect for they have less chances of being noticed. But luckily for us, Toufee users save us the effort and they do a hell of a good job pointing out simple errors that we did!

Maybe, we could run a contest for Toufee users to point out simple things that we might have missed in Toufee. Could you spot something? If yes, then email me what you’ve found at ganesh@toufee.com. I am sure for once my mailbox will be flooded again!

The team at Toufee is overwhelmed by the amount of support that we’ve been getting from Toufee users through email and through blog comments. We’re happy to note that users take time to leave us a note. So we decided to use this blog better - we would like to hear more from you. Do you have any suggestions for Toufee? Toufee Poll - How about a poll that we can use to vote the top feature to be added? What about voting your favorite Toufee movie or the top things that people use Toufee for

In the last few days, we’ve been getting hundreds of emails to Support from eager Toufee users enquiring about when the new Toufee 2.0 is gonna be launched. I am sure many of you would have sent repeated emails and recieved the same reply - you might wonder what these guys at Toufee are doing? The truth is, we have added so many features to Toufee 2.0 and every day we keep getting scores of emails with suggestions for new features - the list keeps growing, but someone should draw the line somewhere right? So we’ve finalised Toufee 2.0 features and almost finished the alpha and beta testing. Why wait then? Why Toufee 2.0 is not out yet? Well, as I said earlier we are 98% complete…its those very last few things that are critical to completion.

To be honest, we understand that some users feel a bit dissappointed over this delay, some are really frustrated…but it shows how much users love Toufee and we assure you that the delay will be worth when the new version is out.

Yesterday, I was browsing through Toufee’s Movie Gallery and was amazed at the quality of the movies that Toufee users created. Its a pleasant surprise really, when you look at what people can do using a tool like Toufee or any tool for that matter. Looking at all those movies, we become more passionate to improve Toufee, provide more features and make it more powerful.

Right from the start, we enjoyed building Toufee. We were passionate about what we did and it clearly shows when one looks at the movies done by Toufee members. At this point, I would like to clarify that I am not exaggerating things coz I am from the Toufee team…really not! I always believe that when you enjoy doing something, you end up with something special - its like an artist admiring his painting for hours, like a designer who’s spellbound looking his designs ramp-walked by models, like a composer who just produced the best music of his life…you can go on but the feeling is the same, its the act of enjoying what you do. Toufee is something close to our heart and that we enjoying building to make it better everyday.

Last but not the least, Toufee is nothing without YOU. Its because of your creative content that makes Toufee a success. Its your creative passion that keeps us going, its your creativity that translates into us making Toufee and its the power of YOU that drives us in building Toufee.
