This is the second post of a series of serious Toufee flash movie tips! I hope my earlier post on custom popup window was useful. This post comes as a direct request from Toufee users, as we've been getting lots of emails to Toufee Support on how to use accented text in flash presentations. I am sure all French and Italian friends who use Toufee would have waited for this long - ok, here we go. There is a workaround that you can use to type accented text inside Toufee textboxes. For example, if you wish to type ä, just press ALT key and enter 132 (ALT + 132). I have given the complete list below
|a with grave accent||Ã||133||À||0192|
|a with circumflex||â||131||Â||0194|
|a with tréma||ä||132||Ä||142|
|a e ligature||æ||145||Æ||146|
|c with cedilla||ç||135||Ç||128|
|e with acute accent||é||130||É||144|
|e with grave accent||è||138||È||0200|
|e with circumflex||ê||136||Ê||0202|
|e with tréma||ë||137||Ë||0203|
|i with circumflex||î||140||Î||0206|
|i with tréma||ï||139||Ã||0207|
|o with circumflex||ô||147||Ô||0212|
|o e ligature||Å“||0156||Å’||0140|
|u with grave accent||ù||151||Ù||0217|
|u with circumflex||û||150||Û||0219|
|u with tréma||ü||129||Ü||154|
|French quotation marks||«||174||»||175|
Another great post ganesh! Just wanted to add one more thing to this.. to save the accented chars, you will need to enable support for foreign languages in your account settings tabs. Once you do that, new accented fonts will start showing up in your text properties windows. All accounts are configured for English by default, so when you add support for more languages in your account settings, you will also see many different fonts in the font drop-down too - like French or Brazilian portuguese fonts (for example), etc. Now if someone can post a translated version of this, it'd really help those who need to know this :) HTH, San.
Thanks San for the valuable and timely input. I have updated the post with your instructions
Eric I had the same problem!
